Student Storage Terms and Conditions and what the deal includes.

  1. Empty strong packing boxes size 60 x 40 x 40 cm, box labels and packing tape. We will deliver these within 48 hours of purchase. For example if you order a 5 to 12 box deal you will receive 12 boxes. Any unused boxes can be returned on collection. We also offer an emergency same day service if required please call us for this.

  2. You are welcome to use your own boxes, suitcases, bags or other means of storage. You can WhatsApp or email pictures of your stuff if using your own packing materials and we can give you a price. We price by converting your items to an equivalent amount of our boxes for example a bike = 4 box, an office chair = 3 boxes, a box 2 times the size of ours = 2 boxes, and so on. A 12 box deal could consist of 8 boxes and 1 bike (bike = 4 boxes).

  3. Collection of items on your chosen day. You can select this when booking (via checkout if known) or contact us to book in. We do not need to know this at the time of booking, likewise we do not need to know you return date or new address upon booking this can be confirmed at a later date once known. Please ensure you advise us 72 hours before collection is required for scheduling.

  4. On collection day we will issue you with a 2 hour time slot. If you have any time specific requirements you can let us know and we will accommodate. Collection is from your bedroom. If there is no lift and we are required to move items up and down stairs there will be an extra surcharge (refer below).

  5. Storage of items for up to 6 months (any 6 month block) starting from collection day.

  6. Prices are the same for 1 week or 6 months.

  7. Items are stored in our purpose built dry storage units.

  8. Insurance up to the value of £150 is included if you need more insurance please contact us.

  9. We require 72 hours notice to ensure you receive your items on your chosen day. Notification by WhatsApp (07531 962 932) or email (admin@manchesterstorage.org). When shorter notice is given we will always try to deliver your items as soon as possible. If you require your items to be delivered outside of Manchester we require 7 days notice to ensure we can return the items on your chosen day.

  10. Delivery within 10 miles of Manchester Storage included. Delivery to other cities or locations will be charged extra. Please contact us for prices.

  11. Deliveries outside of Manchester are to the roadside/front/main door/entrance of the property and not to the bedroom or specific flat.

  12. Return of items on your chosen day to your new address when you want them back. You will be contacted 24 hours in advance of your desired collection/drop off date and be issued with a 2 hour time slot. You are responsible for advising us within 12 hours if this needs to be rearranged. If we are required to revisit your address for collection and/or drop off a surcharge of £60 will be charged.

  13. All packaging material will be supplied i.e. boxes, box labels and tape. Please follow the “Packaging Advice Notice” included in your delivery pack with the boxes.

  14. Delivery to your bedroom is included, if there is no lift and items are required to be moved up stairs there will be a surcharge of £60 per hour (minimum charge of £30 applies).

  15. If we are required to repack your boxes for health and safety reasons i.e. have been overfilled, not sealed properly etc there will be a surcharge of £60 per hour (minimum charge of £30 applies).
